The words ‘Freedom by Fire’ just came to me, and that’s what I had tattoo’ed on the back of my shoulder that day.
At the time, and still, they represented the freedom I had found from past trauma as well as a reminder that every future challenged held the opportunity for more freedom. Because walking through the fire, facing it head on, is the only way to find it.
